  Recognizing Personal Data

 No: The name of your band on its own is not personal data. If the name is part of a record of data about you, then it is part of that personal record. On its own it does not identify you.  

 Yes: Your mobile phone number could be used to identify you as it is registered to you. This makes it personal data.

 No: The lyrics to your song are yours, but in the eyes of the law on Data Protection they are not deemed as personal data. They do not identify you. They may be protected in law under the Copyright Act.
